Another busy week for Miami-Dade County & City of Miami residents. Effective June 3, 2020, Miami-Dade County curfew is moved to midnight – 6:00 a.m. City of Miami is following curfew with the County.

Biggest update to City of Miami restaurants is the new and improved temporary permit for outdoor seating expansions. It has been simplified and only required completing the questions via this link, and uploading a few documents listed below:

  • Proof of Insurance – Photo / Electronic Copy (Read Full Requirements | See Sample Document)
  • Your Business Tax Receipt (BTR) – Photo / Electronic Copy
  • Your Alcohol License Number (If Applicable)
  • A narrative description of the design concept, intended use for the space, furnishings to be included, enhancement of streetscape, and maintenance plan.

And a South Florida update on the next Phase of opening, Florida’s Phase “2”, is we don’t know yet. Similar to Florida Phase 1, Miami-Dade-Broward-Palm Beach will not be joining the rest of the State for the new phase beginning on June 5th. Each County has to submit plans to the governor on how to join the next phase, which will include bars, nightclubs, and movie theaters.

The Village of Pinecrest has also added a temporary seating application, requirements and instructions are below.
