New Normal Updates Alcohol Sales Banned in Bars – June 26, 2020
It’s the roaring 20’s again, we have prohibition! Effective immediately the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation has suspended the premise consumption of alcoholic beverages at bars Statewide. That includes Miami-Dade County Government. This applies to any establishment that derive more than 50% of gross revenue from sales of alcoholic beverages. These establishments may still serve alcoholic beverages in sealed containers for off premise consumption as they did previously. Locations that are classified as restaurants under Chapter 509 Florida Statutes may still serve alcoholic beverages on premise. Violating this order can result in revocation of the alcoholic beverage license. Copy of the order may be viewed or downloaded below.
