Starting March 15, 2020, City of Miami Government, City of Miami Beach Government, Miami-Dade County Government, have all announced restrictions over capacity and hours starting today. Restaurant owners, please be sure you understand what the limitations are in your area and what you can do to assist your staff. If you are one of our clients, we can help with any capacity or licensing questions during these times. As of March 17, 2020, Miami-Dade County, including City of Miami and City of Miami Beach, are mandating no restaurant or bar is allowed patrons- drive thru, to go and delivery only for restaurants. This effects all of Miami-Dade County, even if you are in a municipality. Also, there is the additional Emergency Order from Ron DeSantis with additional restrictions, which include bars/nightclubs to close for 30 days, no exceptions. Local government can go further, but this is the minimum guidelines. The Miami Dade County Order is pictured and the message directly from the office of Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez:

This is the emergency order I signed the 17th of March, forcing restaurants, bars and entertainment venues to close as we battle the Coronavirus outbreak. Our police officers can enforce this order, and they may charge Florida Statutes Section 252.50, Penalties, a second degree misdemeanor, should an individual fail to obey the Emergency Order(s). At this time our police officers’ goal in this matter is to inform our community regarding the Orders and enforce-ability and encourage voluntary compliance before resorting to arrest.
